This painting is a dream-language of lamentation, transformation & watchfulness. Initially inspired by the Greek myth of Philomela, who was transformed into a nightingale, this painting reflects the idea that sorrow can become song and that beauty often emerges from more than just words. A meditation on grief transfigured into tenderness.
